[INTERVIEW] K-Pop Group RE:WIND on Debut & Upcoming Plans

In a world where trends come and go, RE:WIND isn’t here for just a moment—they’re here “FOREVER“. With their debut single of the same name, the trio is turning heads and rewinding expectations, proving that their music is built to last.

As an all-Asian-American K-pop boy group, RE:WIND’s fresh take on K-pop blends nostalgic charm with bold ambition. Members Elaya, Lei, and Eddie bring their own flair to the table, debuting under ALLELE Entertainment on March 28, 2025, with a powerful message wrapped in catchy hooks and heartfelt lyrics.

In this exclusive interview with KNEWSGR, the group reflects on their debut era, the meaning behind “FOREVER”, and their up and coming content.

1. What was your favorite part of the debut preparation process?

Elaya: This was a super long journey to figure out exactly what we wanted to say in our debut. The creation process was honestly so much fun. From researching the groups we love like *NSYNC, Backstreet Boys, and SHINHWA, to playing chords on the piano, and down to the styling, we had so much fun.

Lei: I really loved being in the recording studio with everyone for the first time and hearing our voices together. Everyone worked so hard.

Eddie: I contributed choreography for our debut and it was a really fun process and I learned a lot from it.

2. Do you have a main concept you’d like to maintain, or are you planning to experiment with different ones in the future?

Elaya: Without saying too much, we want to invoke emotions that bring up nostalgia and memories for our listeners. In terms of our sound, we all want to try different genres and vibes and really expand on our sound.

3. What does your debut song “FOREVER” mean to you personally?

Eddie: It really tells our story as former idol trainees and how we got to this point. We have all been obsessed with the idea of debuting and all worked so hard to get there.

4. Do you have defined roles or standard positions within the group?

Lei: I would say we all have our own unique personalities and positions. There are no set positions but we definitely learn a lot from each other in different aspects.

5. How would you describe your music style, and what do you think sets RE:WIND apart from other groups?

Elaya: Our music style is almost experimental. We wanted to take all of our favorite musical elements and attach it to a feeling or emotion that we were trying to display. I think our music can really make the listener feel a lot, even though our songs are upbeat. There are many emotional layers and each song goes through a journey.

6. What can fans expect from you in the future?

Eddie: Our DAY 1’s can expect more content coming to you soon! We have our road to debut series, “FOREVER RE:WIND,” that will be releasing on YouTube.

7. Is there a message you’d like to share with your fans, both in Greece and around the world?

Lei: We hope that you know that it’s okay if things don’t pan out the way that you expect them to. There is always another way to reach your goals.

Eddie: We really want all our present and future DAY 1’s to know that we are here to both make great music and hopefully impact you in some way, shape, or form.

Elaya: We hope that we can inspire people all over the world that it’s never too late.
