Heartbound: The PerthSanta Mafia BL we had all been waiting for

Make room for the long-awaited mafia BL series starring Perth and Santa! Here’s what we know so far about ‘Heartbound’.

Plot

The drama is an adaptation from the novel “Sut Thang… Hua Chai” (สุดทาง…หัวใจ) by Bacteria, the writer of “A Tale of Thousand Stars”.

The story starts when an incident pushes “Ai” Aiyara Singhamakha (Santa) in the way of Gun De Gustro (Perth), a powerful businessman with deep ties to the criminal underworld.

With his stubborn personality, Ai provokes Gun, leading to a dangerous game of feelings and power struggle.

So, what can we expect from this series?

From the trailer, it seems that ‘Heartbound’ will feature a good amount of action scenes that won’t shy away from the criminal aspect of the story. Could Gun’s words “Even family will kill family” point towards the direction of family conflict and betrayal? We’ll have to wait and see.

The relationship between the leads, peppered with sizzling tension, seems to be evolving around rivalry and mutual attraction. Their romance will most likely build on enemies-to-lovers developping gradual trust rather than a love-at-first-sight trope. One thing is for sure: from what we’ve already seen from Perth and Santa in the past? Their chemistry will be explosive.

The trailer also hints at a love triangle with Tytan’s character, who gets emotionally involved with Gun. His exact role, however, has not been officially confirmed.
