LYKN Suspends Comeback Following Plagiarism Allegations

Popular T-Pop boy group LYKN temporarily suspends the release of their track ‘”ครั้งแรกพอทน (Not Again)’ feat. JOKE iScream.

The decision came after allegations that part of the song’s lyrics appeared identical to lines from I.O.I’s ‘Crush’. Yoo Hajung, who appeared in MIXNINE, is credited as a lyricist in both tracks.

While it wasn’t clear whether the similarity was authorized, RISER MUSIC, GMMTV’s subsidiary record label, issued a public apology, taking accountability and sharing the decision to suspend the MV release.

“RISER MUSIC acknowledges that our review process was inadequate and careless. We take full responsibility for this shortcoming and sincerely apologize to the relevant rights holders, artists, all listeners, and fans.”
