Thai Actor Boom Denies Harassment Allegations
Thai actor Boom Tharatorn Jantharaworakarn has publicly denied allegations circulating about him online, stating that the claims are untrue and have affected both his reputation and personal life.
Allegations and Social Media Discussions
The controversy gained attention after social media users began circulating claims concerning an alleged incident involving Boom and a female actress during GMMTV’s Starlympic event. More specifically, the accusations involved non-consensual filming. Some posts further claimed that the actress had reported the alleged incident to the police.
However, these claims have not been independently verified, and no publicly available evidence confirming the alleged police report was identified in the reporting.
Boom’s Statement
On October 31, Boom released a statement on his personal X (formerly Twitter) account, to address the situation. He firmly rejected all allegations and emphasized that they had led to misunderstandings and damaged his reputation. He also expressed that he is open to hearing opinions and criticism based on facts.
Boom’s statement did not identify the individuals involved or provide specific details about the allegations, instead addressing the accusations collectively.
The actor further requested the public to consider the situation fairly and thoroughly examine the available facts before believing, judging or spreading the claims. He added that he was considering appropriate legal action should false information that damages his reputation continue to circulate.
This statement marks his first publicly response to the controversy. Further clarification from the parties involved or the relevant authorities will be necessary to establish the facts.
At the same time, questions regarding Boom’s future have been raised. The actor had been under the spotlight after the end of his partnership with co-star Aou. After GMMTVNEXT’s announcement, it became unclear whether the actor is still a member of GMMTV.
