The Biggest Ongoing BL Dramas in July 2026

Anyone who has more free time than they should in July? 🙋‍♀️ We’ve collected some of the bl series currently airing that you definitely should know about!

1. Payback

This series has me hooked. Until now, it seems to be ticking all boxes for an interesting and promising production. Plot? Check. Cinematography? Check. Acting? Check.

The series follows the story of Sun (Min) as he seeks revenge for his troubled past. To carry out his plan, he enters Dream Entertainment and begins his acting journey with the support of Jay (Toptap).

Min – you might have known him from Boys Planet – has really caught my eye in this series, along with Shogun. I was really surprised to see Boss in his guest role, too. As for Fuaiz, there are no words to describe his performance. He proves, once again, that he is able to bring any character to life with his exceptional performance and he has me looking forward to future projects.

2. Deep In

Apparently, it’s this era when ex Boys Planet contestants are taking over the main lead roles in bl shows.

The Chinese series explores the romance between two actors, Zhang Zhun (Shu Yuan) and Zhen Xin (Ollie), as they team up to star in a bl drama. In the film, they portray a doctor and his patient, lost in a game of manipulation and desire. Where does fiction end and reality begin? The lines blur as the two actors dive deeper into the complicated characters of ‘Deep in’.

The chemistry between the two leads is explosive and the series includes a lot of well-made intimate scenes.

There is a chance that the plot will not amaze you or the pacing might seem a bit fast, but overall I consider it a drama worth watching.

3. Mr. Kill

When murders from a fictional manga come to life by the hand of a serial killer, the artist behind the story finds himself under the surveillance of inspector Phat. Clues and mysteries of the past are revealed as the two leads dive deeper into the complexity of the case.

While it’s more of a bromance rather than a bl, a try at it is probably worth it for the plot and Dew’s infamous acting.

4. The Prosecutor’s Proposal

What Korea brings to the table this season is insane. A bold, passionate drama about the story of a prosecutor and an investigator. Two lives that were destroyed on the same fateful night, a series of murders and, amidst all, a blooming romance.

5. Don’t Be Too Emotional

Possibly the biggest emotional roller coaster of the year. Who is really the mysterious Jane Partick who can grant any wish but only at the expense of a non-negotiable exchange? And what does he want from “Little Jane”, the brave football player who’s not afraid of him?

6. When Oranges Fall

A nostalgic coming-of-age romance between two student neighbors.

Set against the backdrop of everyday youth, the series explores friendship, first love and the small moments that shape people as they navigate adolescence – and a particular love for oranges from the tree next door.

7. Peach and Me

A long-awaited sequel. Haven’t started watching yet, but I bet it’ll be a very pleasant story for ‘Me and Thee’ fans.

8. Knot

Not among my favourites airing this season, but it might be just me being picky when it coimes to Omegaverse dramas.

I feel like the pacing is of, the plot a bit all over the place and some scenes are rather awkward/uncomfortable…

Not really my cup of tea, but I might give it another chance when more episodes are out.
